Antoine Karam

A long time ago Antoine Karam used to import embroidered house linen from Italy and Germany. When he married his wife, Sonia, they decided to start their own business where they could take their expertise and experience and put it to good practice. Starting with only one embroidery machine and some skilled craftswomen, recognition rapidly grew. Moving to larger premises to meet the ever increasing demand, this once modest business became the largest of its type in the Levant with a shop in Ashrafieh, Beirut and a large client base encompassing Gulf Royalty and renowned 5-Star Hotels. As the years passed Antoine and Sonia’s daughter, Jowan, and two sons, Anthony and Badih, joined the family business. Jowan has been actively involved from an early age and is now in charge of the design and regional marketing and sales while Anthony and Badih are responsible for the local market and buying the raw materials. Every year the family members attend prestigious international fairs in the US and Europe to promote their heart-felt enterprise.
